The wonderfully connected world we live in continues to provide beautiful friendships that bloom into collaborations, mutual support, and collections to come when you’re a creative entrepreneur!
Emily Nichols & I “met” last spring over a mutual love of a pair of fabulous emerald flats I had ordered online, no joke! Come join us to learn more about abstract artist, Emily Nichols!
Melissa’s creative process is less of a process and more of a whirlwind for this busy mama of two!
“When an idea lights or inspiration hits, that is when the creating happens (often between school drop off and soccer practices!). I love when time allows for me to fall deeply into the process and transform a thought into a tangible piece of art. In between these bursts I am almost always tinkering. My studio is in my home and I am not above adding a pop of color to a painting that’s already hanging on the wall or a collage that just needs one last piece to be perfect.”
If you had told me two years ago that in the midst of a crazy pandemic I would not only launch my business but also connect with an amazing art collective start-up, I would not have believed you for a moment!
Katy, her husband, and their two girls currently call Fernandina Beach, FL home. A textile artist who has been both educator and artist, founded The Untamed Square while the Air Force stationed their family in Guam.
“I have always been into interior design. Even from a young age, I’d be moving around my parent’s furniture and décor. They used to fuss, but it eventually turned into them asking for my opinion. Now, they FaceTime me from Florida to get design help often. I love colorful textiles and beautiful color combinations.”
Meet Georgette, another fabulous and inspiring painter from Eastern North Carolina.
I’m not sure what it is exactly about that state, but there sure are a ton of fabulous creatives there!
Known for her bold and impressive florals, Georgette aims to evoke joy in the heart of her collectors.
