Inspiration for Interior Design Styling
In September 2018, my life changed drastically and I found myself taking a leap of faith (in the form of a plane ticket) to travel across the Atlantic, to a city I had only dreamed of for the past eight years. Six months later, Bleu Bee Designs entered the world, on a cloudy and unseasonably cold day of March 3, 2019 in the beautiful Place Republique neighborhood in the triangle of the 3rd, 10th, and 11th arrondissements of Paris.
While wandering the cozy streets off of Rue Beaurepaire (where I was staying), I found myself on Rue Yves Toudic, where I was stopped in my steps at the magnificently hued boulangerie of Du Pain et des Idees (translation: The Bread and the Ideas). I stood taking in this boulangerie (bakery) for at least ten minutes, admittedly looking a bit like a touriste’! Here I was, 33 years old and 3,400 miles away from anything familiar (home, family, the English language and decent toilet paper) and yet I had such clarity in a completely foreign location. To those who believe, I do fully believe God was speaking to me and telling me to use my gifts to bless others. A year later, Bleu Bee Designs has a more clear direction and niche market, that again, is true to my roots.
